Cool. I'm pretty happy to work away on a few different style of mockup, but definitely the m site could see a lot of benefits in usage of screen real estate.
I always found it a little odd that the main nav was hidden away at the end of the page, prompting a lot of scrolling to reach it.
I wonder whether it could be simplified further by doing the links in a similar vein to the main site: ie. Home, People, Channels, Explore. And move settings, and sign out to a full menu at the bottom.

Off to the optician in the morning to see what's going on. Hope it's not the onset of CVS.
Aye, definitely treating this as a serious thing. Had onset of RSI last year and knocked that on the head. Will be hoping to stop this getting any worse as well.

@jezlyn That's a good point, I think that would absolutely be a possibility. The mockup software I use purposefully encourages you to lay things out in a very basic way so that you're focussing on the structural layout and feature stuff more than the design. But absolutely a valid point :)
Thanks for the pointer. At a wild guess I'd assume that's iPhone only, but not sure. Certainly would be quite different to interaction on opera mini on S60.

The idea would be to mockup a couple of different approaches for say the overview page, and then carry that style through to each section.
From there I'd work on detailed design concepts and then move on to actually implementing them.

I don't know about others, but I use the "Your Jaikus" link the most (after Home/Overview that is, but that's usually the default page I go to).

@alexleonard: I thought that the changes Google made to their mobile site applied to all mobiles, not just iPhone, but I haven't kept a close eye it.
